Jorge Lorenzo: 'I want to try my hand at Formula 1'

2015 MotoGP™ World Champion Jorge Lorenzo spoke to BigNewsNetwork.com about his desire to try a Formula 1 car: “I have tried my hand in GP2. One of my oldest dreams is to try my hand in Formula 1,” he said. However, he’s in no immediate rush to swap two wheels for four, “Obviously I also cannot leave MotoGP because it is my passion. I am what I am because of MotoGP and I still have a lot to do in the sport."

John Surtees is the only person to take titles in both Formula 1 and Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing, taking the 500cc in 1956, 1958, 1959 and 1960 before winning the Formula 1 title in 1964.

Lorenzo also spoke to BNN about his various other hobbies including football, gold and watching movies. Since taking his fifth world title Lorenzo has performed a number of sponsor and press responsibilities, but is ready for 2016: “If it were left to me, I would start the 2016 season right now. I would say bring it on. I am good to go, good to race!"
