Valentino Rossi discusses involvement with Luca Cadalora

Movistar+ recently sat down for a one-on-one interview with Valentino Rossi, ‘The Doctor’ discussing his relationship with 500 GP race winner and double 250 GP Champion Luca Cadalora. “Last year we [he and Cadalora] worked together a lot. We went to train in Misano with the Yamaha R1 and he also has an R1! It helped me,” said Rossi.

From here the relationship grew and became a professional one, “He often came to the ranch to ride flat track with us. So I asked him if he wanted to come here to see the Phillip Island test, almost as a joke, but he was happy and accepted. We’ll see if he can give me some interesting advice. For now, it’s only this,” Rossi elaborated.

Aside from winning two titles in the 250cc class in 1991 and 1992, Cadalora was also a champion of the lightweight 125cc class in 1986 and won eight 500cc races between 1993 and 1996, regarded as one of the most competitive times in Grand Prix history. Having just celebrated his 37th birthday, Rossi continues to look for every advantage he can on track and having a rider as talented and experienced as Luca Cadalora may help Rossi once again battle for a title, should their relationship continue.
