Ducati’s tough choice: Iannone or Dovizioso?

Ducati’s tough choice: Iannone or Dovizioso?

Ahead of the Italian GP, the sixth round of the MotoGP™ World Championship, the rider market continues to shift around. The first big movement came with Jorge Lorenzo’s shift from Yamaha to Ducati, a number of riders slowly shuffling in after.

Dani Pedrosa recently announced he will remain with the Repsol Honda Team for another two years. Italian newspaper La Gazzetta, along with many other reporters within the paddock, believe that Maverick Viñales will discuss his move to the Movistar Yamaha MotoGP just before the Mugello round. But the question remains as to who will share the Ducati pits alongside the number 99. La Gazzetta have sources that suggest it will be Andrea Dovizioso sitting alongside his former lightweight class rival with Andrea Iannone departing for Team Suzuki Ecstar to fill the void left by Viñales.

At the moment nothing is certain, silly season isn’t over just yet. No doubt more information will be revealed during the pre-race press conference at 17:00 Local Time on Thursday the 19th of May, 2016.
