Japanese riders top the opening 125cc leaderboard

The five fastest times in the first 125cc practice session of the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka were set by Japanese riders. Youchi Ui was the quickest man in the field with a best lap of 2´16.281 followed by wildcard rider Hideyuki Nakajoh. Masao Azuma, Noboru Ueda and Hiroyuki Kikuchi made up the rest of the top five whilst title contender Simone Sanna was 10th fastest. Spanish rookie Angel Rodriguez was the only faller.
