BIOGRAPHICAL DATA
> Born July 4, 1976, in Saitana (JPN). Married to Maikiko and has one son, Ikko.

> Rides a pocket-bike for the first time at three years old, takes part in his first race aged five, and at nine becomes Japanese pocket-bike Champion. In 1987 aged eleven, he rides a mini-bike for the first time and is Japanese Champion in the discipline between 1988 and 1991.

> Debuts in Road Racing in 1992, and in 1994 takes his first 250 win and finishes the championship in 7th. In 1996 he is runner-up in the Japanese 250cc Championship and debuts in the World 250cc Championship with a podium position. He becomes Japanese Champion in 1997 as an official rider for Honda Racing Corporation. The same year he takes pole position in the ´Suzuka 8 Hours´ and wins as a wildcard in the World 250cc Championship .

> In 1998 he is 8th in the Japanese 250cc Championship and wins once again as a wildcard at the Japanese GP, and in 1999 is runner up in the Japanese Championship.

> In 2000 he wins ´Suzuka 8 Hours´ alongside Ukawa.
