MotoGP game available for new generation of portable devices

Using Dorna Sports´ licences for the development of MotoGP interactive games in digital plataforms, THQ have reached agreements with Sprint and Motorola for the inclusion of MotoGP games in some of these companies´ new wireless devices.

The agreement with giants Motorola means the development of games for the current and next generation of mobile phones. JavaTM 2 Platform Micro Edition technology (J2METM) will be used, and the MotoGP game will be one of four available initially in North America for Motorola´s handsets. Early this year Motorola announced the first five J2METM technology-enabled mobile phones in North America as well as its first in Europe and Asia.

The agreement between THQ and Sprint, the company which operates the largest all-digital, all-PCS wireless network in the USA, will lead to the development of a few popular games including MotoGP for both Sprint PCS Wireless Web and Third Generation (3G) Sprint PCS phones.
