Wildcard entries for the 125cc SKYY VODKA Grand Prix of Japan

Only two of the five wildcard entries for the 125cc SKYY Grand Prix of Japan have already made their World Championship bow. Toshihisa Kuzuhara and Syuhei Aoyama both raced at Motegi last year although neither managed to score points. Aoyama is also the youngest wildcard competitor at just 17 years of age.

Of the other three riders invited to take part in Suzuka, the main news is that one hails from Thailand. Suhatai Chaemsap is 21 years old and will be riding a Honda as part of the Sutthisam Vaewsamana team.

Hideyuki Ogata and Akira Komuro make up the wildcard list for the minor class. Both are 25 years old and will be riding Honda machinery in what will be their first Grand Prix.
