Chaz Davies finding his feet after a tough start in the 125 World Championship

Chaz Davies had a tough start to his first ever 125 World Championship campaign on Friday, when mechanical problems in the first qualifying practice impeded him from completing any more than 3 laps. Naturally his efforts in this time were not sufficient for a place on the provisional grid, but the 15 year old British prodigy is confident that the weekend will end on a positive note.

`This is a difficult circuit and after the problems we had on Friday it has been extra difficult for me to get to grips with it because we are effectively one session down on everybody else,´ he explained. `The aim for me here though is just to qualify and finish the race as high as possible. There are some top class riders out there and I am learning every time I go out on the track. I followed Nobby Ueda round for a couple of laps in this morning´s free practice and he showed me where I can really go fast´.
