Mick Doohan shares his thoughts on the SKYY VODKA Grand Prix of Japan

This season Mick Doohan is continuing to give his expert analysis on the MotoGP class to motograndprix.com. In the wake of Valentino Rossi´s victory at Suzuka on Sunday, the former World Champion casts an eye over the excitement from Japan, and reveals how he thought that Rossi had the first race of the new year under control throughout, despite the difficult conditions.

´You would have to say it was a very exciting start to the new season, and a good race for the 4-strokes all round. I believe that Rossi had everything under control from the onset, and although it took him a while to get past a few of the riders, once he got up to Ryo you sensed he would go on to win the race. His last lap was his fastest and I think that he showed he had it well in hand.´
