Mick Doohan evaluates an excellent day´s work for Honda

What a sensational day for Tohru Ukawa and an unsurpassable day at the office for HRC. It was a fantastic race between Ukawa and Valentino Rossi, who I have to say I expected to clear off when he took the lead at the start of the race. It was a great display of racing experience from Ukawa though who showed that there is no substitute for keeping your head down and pushing all the way to the line.

I did not expect the RC211V to be so dominant here and I can not understand why Loris Capirossi on the 2 stroke was the only man to get close to them. It looks ominous for the other factories but we have had just one wet race and one dry race so it is not the end of anything yet. Personally I would like to think that Honda can dominate in that way until the end of the season but they cannot be complacent.
