Ducati to unveil their MotoGP prototype in May

Italian manufacturer Ducati have announced, one year on from their decision to compete in the MotoGP World Championship category, that they will officially unveil their new 4-stroke bike at the end of May. The presentation will take place at the Italian circuit of Mugello on 30th of May.

It was on May 4th last year in Jerez, that chiefs at the Italian factory stated their intention to build a prototype to compete in the MotoGP World Championship. Nine months on, Ducati revealed the design of the 4-stroke motor that would power the new bike. It comprised 4 cylinders in the shape of an L, and was christened the Desmosedici.

On April 1st this year, the first photos of the prototype which would take to the MotoGP asphalt were released, and now in just 23 days, the actual bike will be at the Mugello circuit.
