WEST HONDA PONS UNVEILS ITS BRAND NEW MOTORHOME

At last weekend´s Spanish Grand Prix held at the Jerez Circuit the West Honda Pons team unveiled what has become the talk of the paddock: its brand new motorhome. The motorhome, with its spectacular modern design, will follow all the European races throughout the season.

Work began back in November 2001 on the new West Honda Pons motorhome, which is comprised of two trucks joined in the middle by a central aluminium and glass covered area, and finished in April this year. The surface area of this spectacular mobile home is 150m2, with a large central dining area of nearly 80m2 with capacity for 45 guests, and a lounge area. In the interior of the two trucks one finds two offices, a board room, two bedrooms, showers, toilets and an industrial kitchen where chef Nacho Montes serves up the menus for the team and guests.

Sito Pons, General Manager of the team, remarked that ´we believe it is important to be able to offer the team, our partners, our guests and journalists a place in the paddock where they can relax and enjoy a quiet drink, whether it be during the working day or at the end of it. The construction of the new motorhome has been possible thanks to changes in the IRTA regulations that allow MotoGP teams to use an area of 150m2 within the paddock. Our team has taken a great step forward in terms of infrastructure and it´s clear that we must present a first class image in each and every aspect of the West Honda Pons team.´
