David Checa looks forward better fortune in the second half of season

We have just finished with the first part of the season, and the outcome isn´t really positive, as the results are far from my expectations. I believe, with the team potential and mine, that we should be competing for a top 10 position in the World Championship, and race at this level at every Grand Prix.

Of course, we haven´t been lucky this year, and things have been more complicated in the last couple of races, because of technical glitches. I haven´t scored in the Netherlands, took one point at Donington Park and got the same result at the Sachsenring. We have engine issues, as we can´t use its full power at high revs, but I´m sure the problem will be solved when we come back in Brno.

Anyway, I don´t want to hide behind technical excuses, because there are others factors, and we haven´t been very lucky during the first half of the season. Things got more complicated after my crash in Estoril, during the IRTA tests, as after that, I wasn´t 100% fit for the start of the season. There were races where I´ve been unlucky, like Donington. There, I had problems because my right arm was too tightened in my leather gear, and that really bothered me. I had this problem on saturday and they couldn´t solve it for the race. After a few laps, I lost feeling in my hand.

Now, I prefer to focus on the future. I will have a few days off, I will rest to be fit for the seven remaining races, and I will aim to finish in the top 10 and reverse the trend.

On the other hand, I have to say I´m very happy with the team. Lucio is a professional, he knows how to set a team able to compete in the Championship with the means, and I hope I won´t betray his trust.
