Jay Vincent raring to build on Sachsenring progress
Since the Sachsenring I have spent some valuable time in England with my family and friends, but for the last week or so I´ve basically been ready to get back to action and to tell you the truth I can´t wait to get out to Brno next week. Over the last couple of races we have made some really valuable progress, starting at Donington and continuing at Sachsenring where I was lapping in twelfth place when the red flag came out and I was relegated to fourteenth. Hopefully we can continue in this vein over the next few races and get even closer to the leading group of privateers.Even though I am itching to get back on the bike, I must admit it has been nice to have some time off and do some `normal´ things. I´ve been doing some motocross riding to keep my fitness up and last week I went up to where my driver lives in the north east of England and we did a mini-marathon. It was just for fun as part of a huge carnival that was going on up there but it was a good boost for my fitness too!! We have the final push to the end of the season now and I must admit your mind does wander to what might happen next year. I have no clear plan yet but I would consider any offer that was put to me as long the bike is competitive. It is early days to be thinking about that though so I am pushing it to the back of my head to concentrate on my main priority, which is to do my best for BQR and get the most out of this bike between now and the end of the season. Brno is a great track and a beautiful place, so I hope to see many of you there next week!
