Matsudo, Fonsi and Rolfo maintain consistency

Naoki Matsudo, Fonsi Nieto and Roberto Rolfo are the most consistent riders in the quarter-litre series and have all picked up points for the last 18 consecutive races. The Japanese, the Spaniard and the Italian all failed to make the top fifteen in the rain at Assen over a year ago, the last time the trio ended a Grand Prix weekend without any points.

All three riders will enter the record books if they maintain their record next weekend at Brno, moving alongside Carlos Cardús in the all time top ten consecutive points scorers chart with nineteen. This particular table is topped by Luca Cadalora, who clocked up an impressive 34 consecutive Grand Prix finishes in the points positions. Ralf Waldmann is second in the ranking with 29, followed by Kato on 28. Sito Pons and Max Biaggi both recorded 26.

Over the last 18 races Nieto has picked up two victories and another six podiums. Rolfo can boast four second place finishes and two thirds, whilst Matsudo´s best finish was sixth place at Donington last year.
