Ueda to miss Brno

Nobby Ueda has finally decided that he will not take part in the Gauloises Grand Prix Ceske Republiky despite announcing only last week that he felt fit enough to ride. The Japanese veteran has been told he must remain in hospital for a few extra days to consolidate the recuperation of his fractured pelvis and neck injuries sustained in a practice crash at Mugello in June. Ueda now hopes to be released in time for the Gran Premio Marlboro de Portugal at Estoril on the 8th September.

Ueda, the only rider in the 125 class to have previously won a race at Brno exaplined: ´After speaking with the doctors I have decided not to race because I am still not fit and I need a little more time to make a full recovery. I will be in rehabilitation for an other 15 days and I will continue training five hours each day. I am very keen to return and I hope to do so in good conditions in Estoril´.
