Another perfect weekend for Dani Pedrosa

Another perfect weekend for Dani Pedrosa

Daniel Pedrosa put in a dominating display to clinch his second victory in the 125cc class. The young Spaniard took both of his wins in the same manner : dominating throughout the entire weekend. In Assen, where he earned his maiden win, there was just no match for him, neither in the qualifying nor in the race.

In Motegi, Pedrosa had another lonely ride to take the win, after being the fastest during Friday and Saturday practice sessions. Passed by Arnaud Vincent on the first lap, he recovered the lap on the next lap and upped the pace to build the gap. When the track and the conditions suit him, the 17-year-old seems to be in as class of his own. Earlier this year, he failed three times to win despite having started from the pole position, in Suzuka, Welkom and Estoril.

Pedrosa was 48 points behind Vincent when he arrived in Motegi : he cut the Frenchman lead by half, and he´s now 16 points behind 2nd overall, Manuel Poggiali. Mathematically, the Spaniard still has a shot at the title, as there are three races remaining.
