Pablo Nieto hoping to end season on a high at home

I am still a little tired – from both the long journey back from Australia and from three weeks of competition. That is inevitable though and above all I am feeling happy with my third place at Phillip Island. It is always a positive thing to make the podium in the World Championship but the most important thing is that we are now heading to Valencia with moral at a high.

It is the last round of the season, we are racing `at home´, in front of our fans, so logically I am going out for the win. I have been on the podium twice this year and to see out the year with a victory would be fantastic, but I will be happy if everybody has a good time. The Ricardo Tormo circuit has a technical track and in the 125 races there is always a big group at the front. The most important factor for us is that the crowd are behind us. In a way I am at an advantage because I have sealed sixth place in the championship, I can´t come fifth or seventh, so I have nothing to lose. $$$ We can look back on this season positively. It has been my best at this level and I would like to thanks Jorge (Martínez Aspar). Things didn´t go too well for me last year for a series of different reasons and Jorge gave me a second chance. I think that to finish in the top six in the category is a good result for us, and now we are aiming for the top three next year.
