Nobby Ueda says goodbye and thank you

The Gran Premio Marlboro de la Comunitat Valenciana last month brought to an end twelve seasons of World Championshipp competition for Nobby Ueda. The veteran Japanese rider is currently on a tour of sponsors and the people who have supported him throughout his illustrious career, making regular visits to the hospital where he continues his recuperation from injury. ´I am in Japan trying to thank everyone who has supported me and I wish to travel to Europe soon to do the same thing,´ explains Nobby, who contested no fewer than 160 Grand Prix in the 125cc class.$$$ Ueda also expressed his disappointment at his early retirement, forced by a serious crash at Mugello earlier this season which kept him out of action for three months. ´Some tests that I underwent a few days ago have confirmed that the fractured pelvis is completely recovered. The only problem is the muscle, which was also torn and cannot heal. Now it is a case of strengthening the area around the muscle to compensate for the lack of strength. My back and ankle still hurt. I have to undergo further x-rays and continue with what will be a slow recovery process´.
