Semprucci Angaia Racing team officially present riders Noboru Ueda and Imre Toth
Semprucci-Angaia Racing officially presented their team to compete in the 125cc World Championship at a ceremony in Pesaro, Italy. Noboru Ueda and Imre Toth are the riders who team boss, Giorgio Semprucci, hopes can recapture the title which the team last won in 1994 with Kazuto Sakata. Japanese veteran Ueda will be hoping to make a serious challenge for the title in his twelfth season in the minor category after a disappointing 2001 with TSR Honda.
´I´m very happy to have returned to Pesaro where I used to live for several years,´ said Ueda. `Italy is my home, and I have many friends here. I´ve won 13 races in my career and my objective is to win another two so I can dedicate them to Giorgio Semprucci and his business partner Paolo Taiana. I´m also happy to have the chance to lend my experience to my team-mate Imre Toth.´
Hungarian youngster Toth, who is debuting in the 125 class this term, outlined his hopes for the season: ´My initial objective is to gain experience from riding amongst the best in the world in the first few races, and then from the Grand Prix of Mugello onwards I will be looking to try and make it on to the podium.´
