Biaggi gives his first thoughts on the RC211V

After finishing up as runner-up in the MotoGP World Championship for the second time in consecutive seasons with Yamaha last year, Max Biaggi has switched factories for 2003, returning to Honda to ride the RC211V. With his previous contracts now honoured, the Italian has finally been able to speak out about his brief experience aboard the title-winning machine, which he tested for the first time last November at Valencia.

`I rode it one time and for no longer than 5 hours,´ reflects Biaggi. `Anyway, it was a great satisfaction for me to go back to the gold winged factory. The last year, from the outside I knew it was a bike with merits and I was not wrong. It´s a very neutral bike, very well balanced in a way that forgives you some little mistakes.´

It is almost two months since that initial shakedown test and the Italian is now looking forward to beginning preparations for the new season at the first full test at Sepang next week. `It´s small and compact and the first thing I´ll do in Malaysia will be to take her measurements. I´ll have to adapt the footsteps and the handlebar and start to understand better her character.´
