Alex Debón recounts his impressions of a new bike and need for pre-season mileage

Last week I met my new team for the first time, By Queroseno Racing, in Valencia and, like I am about to explain, I was really happy with the experience. Before I tried out the bike I was a little worried because I did not know how easily I would adapt to the Honda after spending the last few seasons riding an Aprilia. After that first test we went on and have just finished another session in Almeria, and I would say with confidence that this issue now doesn´t present a problem.

In Almeria we had a really bad time with the weather and freezing cold temperatures and this obviously impeded the amount of work we could do and practice with the bike under normal conditions. The tyres suffered a lot with the state of the track and were deteriorating before long. But the experience served to prove that I can feel a lot with this bike and it showed that I have a long pre-season ahead of me to re-fine it to my liking. Now we are waiting to see if Honda can supply us with any new materials. I think the first area we need to work is in the brakes before in the middle of February we take delivery of the new motor and chassis. We are under pressure to have the complete package and mechanical condition for the IRTA tests.
