Olivier Jacque prior to his Jerez crash last week

The official tests at Jerez last week were dogged by bad luck for the Yamaha riders, but none more so than for Olivier Jacque. The Frenchman opted to lap alone in the mixed weather conditions whilst his factory colleagues tentatively waited in pitlane, but he lasted just a handful of laps before sliding off his M1 and injuring his hand. Jacque missed this weekend´s tests in Valencia as he visited specialist Gérard Saillant in Paris, but he has been given the all clear to resume his preseason programme which continues with more factory testing in Spain ahead of the first IRTA test.

Here is Jacque in action at Jerez before his accident.
