Arnaud Vincent continues recovery in France

Arnaud Vincent has revealed that he is optimistic about his chances of reaching full fitness before the start of the 2003 season, which will see him defend the 125cc World Championship crown he won last year. The Frenchman is undergoing an intensive recuperation programme on an ankle injury he sustained during a supermotard race in December, and is attending a rehabilitation centre in Saint Raphael every day. `I spend every morning in the centre and work on my exercises until noon,´ explains Vincent. `All the work is focused on regaining complete movement in the ankle.´

The KTM rider hopes to be back in shape within a couple of weeks, but revealed that development of his new machine has been delayed. `I was supposed to be going to Austria before the end of this month to do some wind tunnel tests and start work on the new bike but this has been held up a little. The construction of the new KTM machines is behind schedule and it seems like they won´t be ready for the IRTA tests as planned. The most likely outcome will be a private test before the start of the championship´.
