MotoGP majority move on to Estoril

After a successful three-day test in Jerez, the teams from the MotoGP World Championships have crossed the border into Portugal over the last two days, in preparation for the second of this year´s IRTA sessions at the Estoril circuit. Team Suzuki is the only team from the elite MotoGP class who will not be travelling north-west from Jerez, as they will be conducting their own private tests, just like the Honda teams, Proton Team KR and Harris WCM Team, who are also all absent from Estoril.

However, there should still be 14 MotoGP machines out on the coastal circuit, with the Yamaha, Aprilia, Ducati and Kawasaki teams and testers ready for two-more days of work at a circuit none of them have used so far this winter. Alex Barros will be keen to prove that his fast time from Jerez was not down to the fact that he and his Yamaha team-mates have tested previously at that track, as he continues to get faster on the Yamaha M1 bike. There will also be more progress for two of the new entrants into MotoGP this season, Ducati and Kawasaki, as they continue to bring their respective Desmosedici and Ninja ZX-RR up to speed alongside some of this year´s competition.
