Tálmacsi in double break blow

Gábor Tálmacsi has revealed the double break agony which kept him out of the recent IRTA test in Estoril. The Hungarian rider missed the final day of the first IRTA test at Jerez after crashing his Aprilia in the opening session and breaking his wrist. He was promptly sent home to recover by Doctor Costa but it was on his return to Hungary that Tálmacsi discovered the full extent of his injuries. A visit to a local clinic revealed that he had also broken his leg.

`The beginning of the season has been unfortunate but I hope the continuation will be better,´ said Tálmacsi, who rode a Honda for the most part of last season after starting out on an Italjet. `The motorbike is very strong and to ride on it is easy, but there are still some things about the suspension that should be adjusted. I didn´t want another plaster so I asked for a special bandage for my leg. Hopefully it will recover soon in order to continue the season´s racing.´
