MotoGP teams at the Estoril IRTA tests

Last week saw another crucial phase in the preseason development process for several of the MotoGP teams at the official IRTA tests in Estoril. It was an eventful few days at the Portuguese circuit, where Alex Barros lapped under record pole time as Yamaha factory colleague Olivier Jacque fell and cracked his shoulder blade. Marco Melandri also crashed and ruled himself out of action for two weeks, although his senior team-mate Carlos Checa made important progress with the YZR-M1 fuel injection system. Here you can see the Fortuna Yamaha and Gauloises Yamaha teams in action.

Meanwhile in the Bzone you can catch up with the progress made by the rest of the teams, including Aprilia and Ducati MotoGP new boys Colin Edwards and Troy Bayliss making huge strides to close the gap on their new rivals, Australians Garry McCoy and Andrew Pitt trying to bring the Kawasaki up to speed, and the latest prototype Yamaha M1 ridden by test rider Norick Abe.
