Pramac Racing presentation in Florence

Pramac Racing officially launched their ambitious MotoGP project alongside tyre manufacturers Bridgestone and Honda Racing Corporation at a lavish presentation in Florence on Wednesday. Italian engineering firm Pramac announced that they planned to combine latin flair with Japanese precision as they set a target to win the World Championship by 2005.

You can catch up with action from the presentation, held at the engineering works themselves, where Makoto Tamada was unveiled as the sole MotoGP rider for the team´s debut season, whilst Shinichi Itoh was confirmed as the official test rider. This will be the first season that a four-stroke MotoGP machine will run on Bridgestone tyres, but Itoh was confident his experience can help them achieve their goals: `I have spent two years developing the Bridgestone tyre and this year I will combine that with the RC211V, which I have also tested extensively. The tyre is at a good stage of development and I think we can work towards a first victory this year´.
