Suzuka opens doors to public as excitement grows ahead of new season

The Suzuka Circuit, which will host the first round of the MotoGP World Championship on the 6th April, this weekend continued with their excited build up to the event with an open exhibition for the public. Some 35,000 motorsport fans turned up at the circuit to enjoy different demonstrations with motorcycles and cars, as hot rubber was laid on the famous track since remodelling works were completed last month.

Some of the most popular exhibits were the offerings made by Honda, who put several of their Grand Prix winning machines on display, including the 1962 RC110, the RC166 which dominated the 1966 season, and the RC211V which led the way on the return of four-stroke motorcycles to MotoGP last season.

Another huge attraction for the hoards of bike fans was the Moriwaki MD211VF, which will debut this season as a wildcard before fully entering the MotoGP World Championship in 2004.
