Qatar unveil circuit plans for 2004 Grand Prix

A group of representatives from the Qatar Motor & Motorcycle Federation were in Estoril this weekend to meet members of the MotoGP Safety Commission with plans for their new circuit which will host a round of the MotoGP World Championship in 2004. Federation President Naser Bin Khalifa Al-Ateiah unravelled the plans for an impressive 5.4 kilometre circuit, which is already under construction.

MotoGP riders Valentino Rossi, Sete Gibernau, Kenny Roberts and Nobuatsu Aoki, who make up the MotoGP Safety Commission along with representatives of the FIM and Dorna, were pleased with the drawings of the track, which has a 1,068 metre straight and 16 corners.
