Shuhei Aoyama heads experienced wildcard list for Motegi

Two weeks after winning the 125cc Japanese Championship, Shuhei Aoyama makes his return to the world scene as one of a host of experienced wildcard riders at the Gaouloises Pacific Grand Prix of Motegi next weekend. The 19 year old Honda rider is the youngest rider on the list but also the most experienced at Grand Prix level.

Aoyama made his debut at Motegi in 2001 and made four appearances last season, replacing the injured Klaus Nohles at Assen and Donington, where he finished tenth, as well as wildcard rides at Suzuka and Motegi.

Fellow Honda rider Toshihisa Kuzuhara also made his debut at Motegi in 2001, where he finished 18th. He also contested the two Japanese rounds last season, although he crashed out both times, and finished 20th in the first round of this season at Suzuka.

Sadahito Suma made his debut in April at Suzuka, but was only able to complete two laps after suffering an engine problem with his Honda. Hiroaki Kuzuhara and Yuki Hatano will both make their Grand Prix debuts next weekend, also riding Hondas.
