Toni Elias(1st): "In the race anything could happen – I think Poggiali will be there and I hope De Puniet is fit enough to ride. After what happened in Brazil the championship is difficult, but there are 100 points left to go for and I will fight until the end. Nothing is lost yet, I have a good rhythm here and I am very happy. We'll see what happens tomorrow – hopefully the race will be like Rio but without the crash at the end!"

Franco Battaini (2nd): "Even though I missed out on pole I am very happy with the way the session went. Tomorrow we will have to see what happens with the weather, but I rode very well here in the wet in '99 so I don't mind too much if it rains."

Randy De Puniet (3rd): "I don't remember exactly what happened but I crashed and hit my head on the ground. I also have a bruised ankle and a small injury to my left index finger but I will be okay for tomorrow. The bike is fast and I know I am capable of a good result."

Sebastian Porto (4th): "We have solved most of the problems we had yesterday and made a major step forward – particularly in terms of suspension – but the engine is still down on top speed. At the end of the session I pushed hard for two laps, setting a front row time and also proving that I have a good rhythm for the race.
