Colin Edwards makes special appearance at ‘FASTER' screening in Texas

Hundreds of MotoGP fans turned out last Sunday, March 14, when Team Telefonica Movistar Honda's Colin Edwards made a special appearance at the cinema in his home town of Houston, Texas. On a break from intensive pre-season tests in Malaysia and Australia and sponsorship commitments which took him to Estoril in Portugal last week, the 'Texas Tornado' came to sign autographs and introduce ‘FASTER', the award-winning movie which follows the MotoGP World Championship across five continents, over the 2001 and 2002 seasons.

Narrated by Ewan McGregor ("Star Wars"), ‘FASTER' is an action-packed, true-to-life look inside the MotoGP World Championship. It features current stars such as Valentino Rossi and Max Biaggi to past champions like Wayne Rainey, Kevin Schwantz, Kenny Roberts and Barry Sheene, along with the people behind the scenes from pit crew, managers and journalists, to the famous Doctor Costa, who patches the riders up and puts them back on the track. The movie is directed by Mark Neale, and produced by racing-world veteran Ian MacLean.

FASTER is hitting cinemas in the United States this Spring, with a DVD release in early summer. Announcements are expected soon for distribution plans in Europe, Australia and Asia.
