Tiscali and Dorna Sports are pleased to announce the extension of their current agreement for 2004, as a result of a fruitful on-going relationship which offers MotoGP to a worldwide audience via Internet. The latest streaming technologies allow users to enjoy exciting multimedia content throughout the season at, the official website of MotoGP.

The leading European internet communication company and the Spanish-based company that holds the rights for the MotoGP World Championship have been working closely together since 2002, with very positive results in terms of both quantity and quality. With 34 million visits and over 500 million page views in 2003, has proved to be a pioneer in the production of multimedia contents for different platforms.

Tiscali retains its title as official Internet partner of MotoGP's official website, with the exclusive European and South African rights to the pay-per-view multimedia content, including a range of exclusive live videos, interviews, interactive action clips of the most exciting race moments, race summaries, video and photo galleries and the "expert eye" section, an exclusive interview series featuring famous riders. In addition, several entertainment features are available, such as guided laps, historical backgrounds, live timing, MotoGP Legends, onboard laps, rider profiles and a huge archive of videos.

For the 2004 season, which kicks-off on April 18th in Welkom, South Africa, the website has been enhanced with an updated look and feel and easier navigation, plus further options and facilities for which Tiscali will provide the technology and Dorna the contents. The brand new website, to be launched before the MotoGP Official Test in Catalunya, on March 24, has been developed using flash technology.

All contents and services are available in seven languages: English, Italian, Spanish, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Dutch.

Users will be able to choose from a wide range of access to the multimedia content, with different offers and several ways of payment: from single Grand Prix coverage at €3,00 each to a €30,00 seasonal subscription for full access to all the contents during the whole year, and special entertainment packages at different prices.

Another new feature for 2004 is the MotoGP online club, a joint-venture between Dorna Sports and Swiss media company ICG, which will give fans a chance to receive high-quality multimedia messages direct to their computer desktops, including video highlights, race results and photo galleries. Based on ICG's patented i-comm technology, the system only requires that the user downloads a small software package, which will create a direct channel of communication. Each time the computer is connected to the Internet, this software will check for new messages posted on the data centre and will download them using only available bandwidth, without disturbing the user's activities. Once the message has been fully downloaded, the user will be able to view full-screen interactive messages.
