Biaggi hoping for more at Jerez

Max Biaggi headed south through Spain this week hoping for more support from HRC and improved results at the final Official Test of the preseason at Jerez. The ‘Roman Emperor' ended the Catalunya sessions down in twelfth place on the official time sheets, the lowest placed Honda rider at the test. Biaggi revealed to motogp.com that his problems stemmed from the set-up of his RC211V, which had taken a dramatic wrong turn after encouraging results at previous tests over the winter.

"For me it wasn't good – we had a lot of trouble to set up this machine," explained Biaggi. "Of course we had also the old one but even with that one we couldn't be as fast as possible to be in front. We are a struggling little bit with the set-up so we need to get a little bit more help. At the moment, of course, we need to test again at Jerez and hopefully there we can have more chance."

On the entertaining and highly competitive session, which saw his great rival Valentino Rossi set the fastest time and drive away in the prize of a brand new BMW Z4, Biaggi added: "For sure (the session) was very fast, very good… but for the others - not for me! I was never really on the pace to express myself. I was like, not in control… so for me the three days were really not so good and I'm waiting to find a good answer for the next test."
