Qatar circuit construction on schedule

Construction work at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar is on schedule and gathering pace, with officials predicting that the initial project will be completed by the 15th June. The track is being prepared from scratch and will be host the MotoGP World Championship's first ever visit to the Middle-East on the 2nd October 2004, when the best riders and machines in the world come together for the Marlboro Grand Prix of Qatar.

Over 400 people and 150 machines are working tirelessly in intense heat to keep the project on schedule, with further work on the fixtures and fittings of the circuit and all of its facilities due to carry on within the main structure until the first week of August. The circuit officials and Grand Prix organisers will then have two months to complete all the final details in time for the historic race, which will form round 13 of the 2004 MotoGP World Championship.
