Veltins lands in MotoGP

Dorna Sports are pleased to welcome a brand new partner for the MotoGP World Championship by announcing an imminent agreement with Veltins, one of Germany's best-known breweries, who have acquired the title sponsorship for the German Grand Prix, to be held at the Sachsenring circuit on July 18th.

The event will therefore be officially called the Veltins Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland and Veltins becomes its exclusive beer supplier.

Veltins' new involvement in MotoGP is also extended to other areas: they will be the presenting sponsor for TV broadcasts in Germany through RTL and they will back the BMW Boxer Cup, one of the support races in the MotoGP events schedule.

Carmelo Ezpeleta, Dorna's CEO, commented: "Everybody knows that Germany is a key territory in which MotoGP is beginning to establish itself and the arrival of strong partners such as Veltins is the proof that we are moving in the right direction. We think that there's a lot of space to grow and hopefully we can do so together with Veltins. I also want to mention how important the role of RTL will be in this future development".
