Honda riders test new chassis

An intense testing session for the four factory Honda 250 riders continued at the Jerez circuit in Spain on Wednesday, with Dani Pedrosa getting his first taste of the new version of the RSW chassis only previously used by his team-mate Hiroshi Aoyama, who spent today testing different tyre compounds for Dunlop. The Telefonica Movistar Honda riders were joined on track by their Fortuna Honda counterparts Toni Elias and Roby Rolfo, who set the best lap of the day in a time of 1'45.02.

"Above anything else this test has been useful to run up more kilometres on the bike," commented 250cc rookie Pedrosa, who complained of pain in the hand he injured when he crashed out of the Gran Premio Marlboro de España at the same circuit on Sunday.

"I am still not in the right condition to be able to push hard – my finger is still really swollen and it bothers me when I am riding. It will be fine in a couple of days but I just wanted to get out there and give it a go."
