Harald Eckl happy with Kawasaki progress

After a disappointing return to MotoGP in 2003, their first full Grand Prix season since 1982, Kawasaki have already shown signs during the early stages of the 2004 season that they are ready to mount a serious challenge in the premier-class of motorcycle racing. Shinya Nakano has taken two second row starts in the first two rounds of the new campaign, and has already begun to establish himself as a top ten contender, whilst Alex Hofmann has caused more than the odd surprise during qualifying, despite his luck tending to run out by race day.

Fuchs Kawasaki Racing Team Manager Harald Eckl says he is ‘surprised and happy' by the speed of his squad's progress with a radical new version of the Ninja ZX-RR, but says a lot of hard work has gone on behind the scenes to make the improvements possible.
