The following is a press release issued by the FIM:

Grand Prix of France: decision of the Race Direction

On Saturday 15th May, during the MotoGP qualifying practice, Japanese rider Shinya Nakano, American rider Nicky Hayden and American rider John Hopkins stopped on the track.

For this infraction to Art. 1.21.16 of the Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix Regulations, the Race Direction has decided to fine each of them 3000 US dollars.

No appeal has been lodged.

The decision of the FIM Stewards is final.
