Hodgson doubtful for Mugello

Neil Hodgson has revealed that he is unsure whether or not he will be fit enough to take part in the Gran Premio Cinzano d'Italia next week, despite reporting progress in his recovery from the two broken ribs he sustained in a crash during the race at Le Mans.

The World Superbike Champion missed out on attending World Ducati Week at Misano as he rested the injury at home on the Isle of Man and says he feels to be improving, although he won't take any risks at this early stage of the season.

"Personally I feel fine," said Hodgson, who crashed his Desmosedici GP3 on the first lap of the Grand Prix Polini de France.

"It bothers me a bit and it is too soon to say if I will be in shape for the next Grand Prix in Italy, but I'm following the doctors recommendations and hope to be well by then," he added.
