Di Meglio looking for lift-off at Modena airport

The Globet.com Racing team are looking for new ways to give their riders a lift ahead of the teams home Grand Prix at Mugello next week, with Mike Di Meglio and Gino Borsoi planning to practice their take-offs at Modena airport on Monday.

Team boss Borsoi revealed that he had decided to schedule the unusual test in an attempt to improve his young French protégés race starts, with Di Meglio having failed to break with the lead pack in the three races so far this season despite some excellent grid positions.

The problems only seem to arise in the race, explains Borsoi. Di Meglio often gets a bad start and loses the advantage he has earned himself in qualifying. As a consequence he gets caught up amongst slower riders and loses touch with the lead group.

Then when hes trying to make up lost ground he ends up pushing too hard and, in the case of the past two races, falls off. If he really wants to fly, then what better place than the airport!
