Italian riders star in Western film

MotoGP riders past and present have starred in a Western-style short film in aid of "Rock No War", an Italian charity that has been active for many years in international solidarity, providing aid to children in war zones across the globe.

L'Intoccabile (The Untouchable) is the brainchild of former rider Loris Reggiani, who suggested the idea to film director Chicco Salimbeni before involving magazines, newspapers, radio and television stations and attracting a host of sponsors.

Despite countless hitches, filming ran on time from 18th to 22nd March 2004 at the Fiabilandia theme park in Rimini, with a host of riders including Loris Capirossi, Marco Melandri, Alex De Angelis, Andrea Dovizioso and Graziano Rossi playing out a comic tale where they try to get rid of Giacomo Agostini.
