Hofmann curses start problem

Alex Hofmann revealed his disappointment after the race at Assen on Saturday despite again picking up points for Kawasaki. The German rookie crossed the line in thirteenth place but is convinced he could have been higher if it wasn't for difficulties getting off the line – a problem which has dogged Hofmann and his team-mate Shinya Nakano all season.

"I'm not happy with thirteenth place because I was eleventh on the grid but we still have a serious problem starting and both me and Shinya lost like five to seven places on the first lap," commented Hofmann.

"It's always so tough to get these five places back again and most of the time the good boys are gone so you get stuck in traffic and have to wait. So that's really something we have to improve."
