Pedrosa takes healthy points advantage on holiday

Dani Pedrosa headed for his summer holidays this week with a healthy points advantage at the top of the 250cc World Championship which should keep him smiling until the season resumes at Brno on August 22nd. The 125cc World Champion and quarter-litre rookie took successive victories for the first time in his career at Donington Park last week, having also won seven days previously at Sachsenring, and expressed his satisfaction at his weekend's work.

"It was a good day, the bike responded really well," commented Pedrosa, who has finished in the top two in eight of the nine races so far this season. "It was a little windy and that was a bit of a problem but I was able to maintain a good rhythm. We are working very hard in all the practice sessions and the bike is always well prepared."
