Tickets for Valencia selling fast

With almost three months still remaining before the Gran Premio Marlboro de la Comunitat Valenciana on October 31st, circuit organisers have announced that tickets are selling at a record rate. With fans and riders anticipating a potential last round decider to the 2004 MotoGP World Championship, around 25% of tickets have already been snapped up - with some grandstands already close to sell-out.

Eduardo Nogués, general director of the group which manages the circuit said that the sales were beyond expectations. "You have to consider that at the same time last year we had sold just 15% of tickets, and the Grand Prix was still completely sold out by the end," he said.

"The speed at which the tickets are being bought up is much quicker this year, partly because the Spanish riders in the World Championship are doing so well and partly because this round has become one of the biggest parties on the calendar. If sales continue like this then we are going to have to look at installing temporary grandstands."
