New paint job for Hodgson and Xaus

Team D'Antin Ducati sported a new look on the first day of qualifying for the Gauloises Grand Prix Ceske Republiky on Friday, their traditional red and black colours replacing the blue and gold which has adorned the Desmosedici GP3 machines of Neil Hodgson and Ruben Xaus so far this season.

Team Manager Luis d'Antin explained that the original colours had been designed with the anticipation of a major new sponsor, but confirmed that the deal has now fallen through and the entire team are glad to get back to their more familiar livery.

"We had a different design up until now due to ongoing negotiations which we were finally unable to close for this season," said d'Antin, who saw Hodgson qualify eleventh and Xaus twelfth in this afternoon's first official practice for Sunday's race.

"So we just decided to return to the image of our team's colours, and I have to say it looks very good indeed."
