Aprilia celebrate century of quarter-litre wins

Aprilia enjoyed a double celebration on Sunday night, with a one-two for Sebastian Porto and Randy de Puniet boosting their chances of halting Dani Pedrosa's charge to the title and Porto's victory bringing their total wins in the quarter-litre class to the magic 100.

Porto's achievement made it a century of victories for the Italian factory, who first celebrated success with Loris Reggiani back in 1987 at the Misano circuit.

A distinguished list of riders have won 250 races for Aprilia, including Valentino Rossi, Max Biaggi, Marco Melandri and Manuel Poggiali, who all went onto win the World Championship for the Noale manufacturer.

Aprilia's 100 victories have been shared between 17 riders :
