Randy Mamola reflects on Brno

Well, round ten has come and gone and I hope you all enjoyed it. It was a typical thing between Valentino on the Yamaha M1 against a group of Hondas. I think the only disappointing thing about the race was when Barros and Nicky Hayden crashed out within a couple of laps of each other, but the championship battle lives on.

It was very exciting, very close and very much like last year – the only difference that we can honestly say was that Valentino was on a four cylinder Yamaha instead of a five cylinder Honda doing battle with Sete.

With the practices being in the rain and very little dry time, I think Yamaha did an exceptional job with Valentino because, of course, they couldn't relate back to any information. The thing is they've gotten beat and they're going to come out fighting in Portugal in just a couple of weeks' time.
