Mika Kallio expects to be fit for the Marlboro Grand Prix of Qatar despite separating his shoulder joint in a nasty crash at Motegi on Sunday. The Finnish rider was spat from his KTM when fighting for a podium finish in the second part of the controversial 125cc race and admitted he was mystified as to how the crash happened.

"I don't understand why I crashed because I opened (the throttle) at the same time as before," explained Kallio. "Then I opened, the rear tyre slid and I crashed and I don't know why.

"I'm okay, only a little bit hurt on the shoulder but it's not broken and I think I'll ride in the next race."
